Coronavirus update: CGB Drive Up and Other Methods of Banking Available, Lobbies Temporarily Closed
Chelsea Groton Bank has been a part of our shared community for over 165 years. We have been there for our members through both good and challenging times, and the current situation we are facing is no different. We believe it is our role and responsibility to ensure the health and well-being of our customers, community and team.
What this means to you: we are temporarily closing our branch lobbies, effective Thursday, March 19th. All branch drive-up, ATM, and night depository services will remain open. We will meet with customers by appointment for bank services that cannot be completed through the drive-up or other channels, i.e. safe deposit access. Please call 860-448-4195 to schedule an appointment or visit the Our People page for individual team member's contact information.
We also encourage you to use alternative methods of banking to keep our team members safe and healthy. Alternative methods of banking include online and mobile banking, ATMs, and Bank by Mail. If you'd like to register for online or mobile banking so you can deposit checks, pay bills, check balances, transfer funds and set-up alerts and more, visit our website for information and how-to tutorials. We encourage you to call and speak with a Customer Care Representative by phone to answer questions, learn how to use various alternative banking channels, and perform transactions, call 860-448-4200.
Please know that our mission today is the same as yesterday, and will continue to be tomorrow: We help our customers and communities achieve their specific goals by taking them on as if they were our own. Since part of an individual's well-being is their financial well-being, we are committed to continuing to bring you access to day-to-day bank services, ensure loan payments are processed, questions about investments are answered, and educational resources are available.
Until classes resume, we encourage you to visit our Chelsea University e-learning platform to view articles, watch videos and learn more about the financial and business topics most pressing for you. Please visit our Chelsea University education page for the most up-to-date information on postponed and rescheduled programs.
We've also put together a resource page, for information on ways the Chelsea Groton Community is prepared to help, such as the Small Business Administration's disaster relief loans, educational resources for school-aged children, access to meal programs and fresh food, ways we can support our area restaurants and shops, utility resources, volunteer opportunities and more. We hope this page helps you as we navigate these trying times together.
We will continue to update you with more resources and information as it becomes available. We wish you, your loved ones and our community good health at this time and always.
