Chelsea Groton Bank is Making College Possible
Chelsea Groton awards scholarships each year to local high school seniors. Winning students have exemplified community service through their volunteer efforts, have excelled academically, and have exhibited strong leadership skills. The recipients all live in the communities served by Chelsea Groton Bank.
In June 2017, 16 students were presented with $500 scholarships: Sarah Billis of The Williams School; Donovan Davino of Wheeler High School; Teagan Driscoll of Stonington High School; Hailey Gordon of Marine Science Magnet High School; Amanda Lumpkins of Norwich Free Academy; Jordan Mailly of Glastonbury High School; Samantha Martinez of New London High School; Jeremiah Pedraza of Ella T. Grasso Southeastern Technical High School; Katie Pescatello of Norwich Technical High School; Zoe Pierce-Olhson of Ledyard High School; Daniel Rubio-Ejchel of East Lyme High School; Natalie Schafer of Fitch Senior High School; Chloe Sherman –Watson of Science & Technology Magnet High School; Nikolas Strickland of Montville High School; Mya Verraheault of Griswold High School; and Shana Wilson of Westerly High School.
Since 2007, the scholarship program has supported over 150 local students as they pursue degrees in higher education. The Bank has a long-standing history of investing in the local community through donations of time, talent, and financial resources. This program recognizes students who demonstrate the same commitment.
How to Apply for a Chelsea Groton Scholarship
