Chelsea Groton Launches 160 Acts of Kindness to commemorate 160th Anniversary
GROTON, Conn. – Chelsea Groton Bank kicked off its 160th anniversary celebration at an all employee meeting held at Connecticut College on March 11th. President and CEO Michael Rauh outlined the details of the celebration taking place over a six month period including: July 3rd in-branch celebrations, an increased level of giving on behalf of the Chelsea Groton Foundation, an all employee picnic and other community focused activities and events. The celebration’s culmination, a gift to our community, 160 Acts of Kindness, was last to be announced. “I held my breath when Michael announced the commemorative gift to our community”, remarked Lori Dufficy, SVP of Sales & Marketing, “This initiative is very near and dear to all of our hearts and we were excited to see the reactions from everyone”.
The team working on the project considered a book about the history of the bank, a commemorative gift, and special anniversary prizes and promotions - all ways to thank our employees, customers and community partners for doing their part in making our corner of the world a better place to be. “But at the end of the day, we realized what’s most important is remembering what we are celebrating. For Chelsea Groton, it’s all about the communities we serve”, remarked President and CEO Michael Rauh.
Chelsea Groton officially launched the 160 Acts of Kindness initiative to commemorate the Bank’s 160th anniversary. “We are very proud of the contributions that each of our employees make, often going above and beyond to enrich the lives of so many”, remarked President and CEO Michael Rauh. Through our Acts of Kindness initiative, Chelsea Groton will financially support a cause, non-profit agency or community event, selected by each of our employees, in the amount of $160.00.
