The Chelsea Groton Foundation awarded $189,585 in grants to 67 non-profit organizations from Connecticut and Rhode Island this spring. This dollar amount marks the greatest total awarded to area organizations in a single giving cycle since the Chelsea Groton Foundation was founded. Inclusive of these donations, the Foundation has provided over $2.8 million in total grants to the community since 1999. The Foundation reviews applications and awards grants two times per year.

Andrew “Drew” Williams recently joined Chelsea Groton Bank as a Retail Loan Officer, based at the Bank’s Lending Center in Glastonbury.

GROTON, Conn. – Chelsea Groton Bank held its 163rd annual meeting of Bank officers, Board members and Corporators on Monday, April 16 at the Mystic Marriott in Groton, Connecticut. President and CEO Michael Rauh reported on the Bank’s 2017 results.
The Chelsea Groton Foundation announced funding for a multi-year project of supporting the revitalization of Downtown Norwich through a Global City Initiative. This multi-cultural program will assist existing efforts to bring people together to participate in rich, diverse, multicultural experiences that the residents of Norwich and its surrounding communities have to offer.
Hillary Ryan of Stonington, CT, recently joined Chelsea Groton Bank as Vice President, Business Intelligence. In this role, Hillary will be leading the Business Intelligence Department with responsibility for process improvement, project management, and data management.
The Chelsea Groton Foundation will be accepting applications for the spring grant cycle through the Foundation’s NEW online application portal until Friday, April 20, 2018. Local and regional charitable organizations in the areas of Animal Welfare, Arts and Culture, Economic Development, Education, Environment, Health and Human Services, Housing, and Youth Recreation and Activities, should visit www.chelseagroton.com/CGFoundation to access the new online application portal and more details on specific requirements.
