The Center for Financial Training (CFT) recently honored 12 Chelsea Groton Bank employees – Lauren Arpin of North Stonington, Alyssa Bryan of Gales Ferry, Kelly Burke of Mystic, Mary Conti of Stonington, Dawn DeCristofaro of Ledyard, Ruth Eckhoff of Lebanon, Colleen Kluberdanz of Pawcatuck, Lisa Lamphere of Quaker Hill, Jessica L’Heureux of Groton, Elizabeth Owen of Norwich, Marjarie Perrone of Waterford, and Lori Tracy-Dufficy of Groton – during the annual graduation and awards ceremony.
Giusy Beaman, Assistant Secretary, Branch Operations Manager in the Bank’s Norwichtown branch; Penni Harlow, Assistant Secretary, Branch Manager of the Bank’s Mystic and Mystic Auto branches; and Jennifer Seuferling, Branch Manager of the Bank’s North Stonington branch recently graduated from the Connecticut Bankers Association’s Connecticut School of Finance and Management (CSFM).
Chelsea Groton Bank is pleased to announce the promotion of four employees, following a Board of Trustees meeting.

Chelsea Groton Bank held its 162nd annual meeting of Bank officers, Board members and Corporators on Monday, April 24 at the Mystic Marriott in Groton, Connecticut. President and CEO Michael Rauh reported on the Bank’s 2016 results.
Chelsea Groton Bank was once again a top performer, earning the coveted 5-Star rating from BAUERFINANCIAL, the Nation’s Premier Bank Rating Firm. A five-star rating indicates that this bank excels in areas of capital adequacy, profitability, asset quality and more. Chelsea Groton Bank has earned and maintained this top rating for 92 consecutive quarters, earning it even higher accolades. Chelsea Groton Bank is a “Sustained Superiority” bank for maintaining a 5-Star rating longer than 90% of the industry.
Chelsea Groton Bank received the highest possible rating from the FDIC for its most recent performance under the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA). The Community Reinvestment Act requires federally insured depository institutions to help meet the credit and borrowing needs of the communities where they do business, including low- and moderate-income areas.
Alysha Yepes, Branch Manager of Chelsea Groton Bank’s Norwich Westside branch, graduated from the Greater Norwich Area Chamber of Commerce (GNACC) Leadership Exploration & Development (L.E.A.D.) program.
The Chelsea Groton Foundation was recently given a $5 million endowment from Chelsea Groton Bank. The gift, made possible through the sale of stock, was given with the intent of providing the Foundation with additional funds for the continued support of organizations that impact our region in the areas of health, human and social services; education; economic development; and arts and culture.

The Foundation is accepting applications for the spring grant cycle until Friday, April 21, 2017. Local and regional charitable organizations interested in applying should access the fillable application and information on specific requirements.
Bill Mundell recently joined Chelsea Groton Bank as AVP, Direct Banking / eCommerce Department Manager. In this role, Bill will be responsible for all electronic banking services, including online, mobile and telephone banking, debit cards and management of the Bank’s ATMs. He will also oversee the sales and service activities of the Bank’s Customer Care Center.
